Use bar soap that comes wrapped in paper products rather than liquid hand soap in plastic bottles. Use cloth shopping bags every time you shop - even if you have to go back to the car and get it - or have to carry your purchase without a plastic bag. Try to buy items packaged in glass rather than plastic. Read lables to find out where the product comes from and try to buy the one that travels the least distance.
