Speak Up with Ideas!
I've made a couple "green" recommendations lately:
1) I stayed at a hotel recently and was disappointed by the inefficient energy use. The concept of 'Speak Up Week' motivated me to email the hotel with suggestions for improved insulation around their windows, higher efficiency bulbs to replace the existing incandescent lights, and aerators to reduce water flow in their faucets.
2) I recently emailed the building manager and HOA board at my condo to request more effective bike racks. The existing ones only let you chain up to your tires and aren't used very often. Hopefully, my condo will soon have an updated bike storage area so people don't have to put bikes on their patios!
How is everybody else participating in 'Speak Up Week'? Any creative ideas that you've shared and can post in this Forum?
