Car Share Program
The City has partnered with
UhaulCarShare to launch a car sharing program open to individuals, organizations, and businesses. UhaulCarShare owns and maintains all aspects of the program while the City provides covered parking spaces and limited marketing support.
UhaulCarShare is launching the program with two vehicles, a Toyota Prius and a Ford F-150. Both vehicles are parked in covered parking at the China Bridge Parking structure in Swede Alley (map). The vehicles are located between levels NG and N1 on the north side of the structure.
Sing up at: www.uhaulcarshare.com. Participants who sign up between now and March 1st, 2013 using the promo code “ParkCity” will receive a discounted rate of $15, one-time registration fee, and $25 in driving credits.
There is no ongoing fee to be a member of the program and members only pay for vehicles as they are used, starting at $4.95 per hour plus mileage. Car share vehicles are rented by the hour and all costs of operation including fuel, insurance, vehicle maintenance, and 24/7 roadside assistance are covered. Users can reserve a car for as little as an hour or for up to three days.
